My oldest son was a Tiger Scout when he received his first rocket and was excited to participate in his Packs 2006 Summertime rocket launch in July. He asked his Cubmaster that April how many rockets he could launch and was told as many as you could build. He left that meeting wanting to build 100. But three months later he didn't build his 100 rockets. Nor did he build 10. He did have 5 and enjoyed every minute of that launch. And after the event he didn't forget his self imposed challenge to build 100 rockets.
So in in the summer of 2007 and with the help of his family he was ready with 85 rockets. Still not 100 but close. He arrived at the Summertime rocket launch with all of his rockets. And though he wasn't able to fly all of them, he was the talk of the event.
Nearly six years later this has become a family affair with 124 built rockets many of which still haven't been launched. 105 unbuilt kits. And 11 rockets which have either been lost, retired, or destroyed.
Yes, we're having fun!!!
